FAQ

Answers to common questions about our PSA grading submission service.

Pricing & declared value

The money questions

How does pricing work?

One flat price per card, set by the PSA service level you choose — that's it. Set the quantity to your number of cards and check out in USD. No memberships, no minimums, no hidden fees, and meaningfully cheaper than submitting to PSA on your own.

When do I pay?

Upfront, at checkout. We think that's simpler than "pay after grading" models — you know your total up front, and there's no invoice waiting for you at the end. The only possible extra cost is a PSA upcharge (see below) or return shipping if it isn't included in your order.

What's "declared value" and how do I pick it?

Declared value is what it would cost to replace your card. It does two jobs: it sets your insurance coverage, and it determines which PSA service level your card qualifies for.

The easiest method: search eBay for your exact card in PSA 10, filter to sold listings, and use a recent average. Don't lowball it to save on a tier — you'd be under-insuring your own card.

What happens if my card is worth more than my tier's max declared value?

PSA reviews every card's market value during grading. If a card grades out well above the declared value tier it was submitted under, PSA applies an upcharge to the higher service level. We pass that through to you at PSA's cost — no markup — and we'll always contact you before anything is billed. If you think a card is borderline, pick the higher tier or ask us first.

Can you look at my cards before they go to PSA?

Yes — we offer an evaluation add-on. Our team gives each card a once-over for the obvious grade-killers (surface scratches, soft corners, centering, whitening) and flags anything we wouldn't send. We've handled a lot of cardboard, but it's an opinion, not a guarantee of grade. Ask us about adding evaluation to your order.

Are my cards insured?

Your cards are with us from the moment they're pulled — logged against your card list, stored in a locked area under 24/7 surveillance, and insured to their declared value the whole time they're in our care, right up until we hand them to PSA in person. From there PSA takes over, through grading and the tracked shipment of your slabs straight to you. That's another reason to declare honestly — it's your coverage.

Are there any hidden fees?

None. Prices, checkout, insurance values: all USD, all upfront. The only exception is a PSA upcharge if a card grades far above its declared-value tier — and we pass that through at cost, never marked up.

Cards, turnaround & returns

The logistics questions

Which cards do you accept?

Cards pulled in North of 7 breaks: sports (hockey, basketball, baseball, football, soccer and more), Pokémon and other TCGs — modern and vintage. If PSA grades it and it's a standard-size trading card, we'll take it — as long as it came out of one of our breaks.

Anything you can't take?

No oversized cards, booklets or odd-shaped memorabilia cards — PSA's standard service doesn't cover them. We also can't submit cards with evidence of trimming or alteration; PSA won't grade them and the submission fee isn't refundable once a card has been through their process. Not sure? Send us a photo first. We also don't take outside submissions — grading is exclusively for cards pulled in our breaks.

Do I need to package or ship anything?

No — that's the point. We only grade cards pulled in our breaks, so your card is already here, sleeved and stored on camera. You buy your grading spot, list your cards, and we handle everything else. The only shipping involved is your finished slabs going from PSA straight to your door.

Where do my cards actually go?

From your break stash straight into our next consolidated PSA submission — we verify every card against your list on camera first. Because we submit in volume on a regular schedule, your cards are never waiting around for a batch to fill up.

How long will it take?

Each service level lists PSA's estimated turnaround in business days — that clock starts when PSA receives the submission. Add a short window on our side for intake and our next scheduled PSA run. Turnarounds are PSA estimates, not guarantees, and they shift with PSA's volume; we'll always show you where your cards actually are.

How do I track my submission?

You'll hear from us at every stage: when your cards are pulled and verified, when we drop them off at PSA, when PSA logs them, when grades drop, and when PSA ships your slabs to you with tracking. Real updates from a real (small) team — and if you ever want a status check between updates, just ask.

Can I only grade cards from your breaks?

Yes — that's the whole model. Grading is exclusively for North of 7 break pulls: buy your grading spot, note your break and spot in the card list, and your pull moves straight into our next PSA run without ever leaving our building. No shipping risk, no extra handling. It's the safest possible path from pack to slab.

Can you grade cards that are already in slabs (crossovers and cracking)?

Cards in other companies' slabs can be carefully cracked out and submitted to PSA raw — we handle the cracking in-house so the card doesn't get damaged in the process. Just note on your card list which entries are currently slabbed and we'll take it from there.

How do my slabs get back to me?

When grading is done, PSA ships your slabs directly to you — tracked, straight to your door. The shipping address comes from your order at checkout, so make sure it's current when you check out. If you move before your cards go out, just update your address with us before we drop the submission off at PSA.
